2-DAY / 1-NIGHT TOURS
BENIN, LAND OF BIODIVERSITY
This two-day tour dedicated to the biodiversity of Benin offers an immersion in the heart of lagoon ecosystems.
The journey begins at the Drabo Gbo Monkey Sanctuary, where wildlife and flora are observed with a focus on raising awareness and respecting nature. The route continues to Djègbadji, where you'll meet the salt harvesters and learn about a traditional skill closely linked to the mangrove. You can also explore the mangrove by motorized canoe and discover the way of life of its inhabitants.
The circuit ends at Lake Ahémé, a true reservoir of biodiversity, where nature, human activities and ecological balances coexist harmoniously.
Accommodation : You will sleep in a guesthouse located in a small village on the shores of Lake Ahémè, in rooms built from natural materials located on the lake.
PORTO NOVO AND ITS SURROUNDINGS
This two-day tour invites you to explore the cultural and spiritual richness of this region.
The first day is devoted to Porto-Novo, the cultural capital of the country: visit to the temple of the first deity, the great mosque, the Honmè museum, former royal palace, and the Negro-African pantheon, witnesses to the religious and historical mixing of the city.
The second day takes place in Adjara, in the heart of a protected natural environment. A rowboat trip on the Black River allows you to appreciate the tranquility of the area. The exploration continues with local crafts: artisanal palm oil production, sodabi distillation, drum making, and an introduction to traditional basketry techniques. You will also have the opportunity to taste Porto Novo's local specialty: grilled pork.
